Every Sunday we gather to worship our Lord as His sons and daughters, and this Sunday was no exception! We had a great time of celebrating our Savior rising from the grave this Resurrection Sunday, and here is rundown of that gathering!
Opening Song: "Rejoice" by Dustin Kensrue
CALL TO WORSHIP
L: Christ is risen!
C: He is risen indeed!
L: Christ is risen!
C: He is risen indeed!
L: Christ is risen!
C: He is risen indeed!
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
For his steadfast love endures forever!
Let Israel say, “His steadfast love endures forever.”
The Lord is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.
Glad songs of salvation are in the tents of the righteous:
“The right hand of the Lord does valiantly,
the right hand of the Lord exalts,
the right hand of the Lord does valiantly!”
I shall not die, but I shall live,
and recount the deeds of the Lord.
The Lord has disciplined me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.
Open to me the gates of righteousness,
that I may enter through them
and give thanks to the Lord.
This is the gate of the Lord;
the righteous shall enter through it.
I thank you that you have answered me
and have become my salvation.
The stone that the builders rejected
has become my cornerstone.
This is the Lord’s doing;
it is marvelous in our eyes.
This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice, and be glad in it.

CONFESSION OF SIN
Let us confess our sins to the Father together…
Almighty God,
in raising Jesus from the grave,
you shattered the power of sin and death.
We confess that we remain captive to doubt and fear,
bound by the ways that lead to death.
We confess that we have not bowed before Jesus
or acknowledged his rule in our lives.
We have gone along with the way of the world
and failed to give him glory.
Forgive us and raise us from sin,
that we may be your faithful people,
obeying the commands of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who rules the world and is head of the church, his body. Amen.
ABSOLUTION
Hear the good news...
Who is in a position to condemn?
Only Christ,
And Christ died for us,
Christ rose for us,
Christ reigns in power for us,
Christ prays for us.
Anyone who is in Christ
Is a new creation.
The old life has gone;
A new life has begun.
Know that you are forgiven, and be at peace.
Let’s celebrate and worship our Lord.

PROFESSION OF FAITH: MSA Catechism Q. 34-35
Let us profess our faith together by answering the following questions from the Morning Star Catechism...
L: Q34 - How does God extend His grace to us?
C: A - Through Christ, his eternal Son.
L & C: “For the law came through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” - John 1:17
L: Q35 -What did Christ do to make grace available?
C: A -He kept the whole law and suffered the punishment for our sins.
L & C: “He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth. When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.” -1 Peter 2:22-24

- Communion
LITURGICAL PRAYER
Please Stand and let us pray to our Father together...
O God,
who for our redemption
gave Your only begotten Son to the death of the cross,
and, by His glorious redemption,
have delivered us from the power of our enemy,
grant us to die daily from sin,
that we may live with him in the joy of His resurrection;
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

BENEDICTION
As we leave here today…
May the God of peace, who raised to life the great shepherd of the sheep, make us ready to do his will in every good thing, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever.
[based on Hebrews 13:20-21]
L: Peace be with you!
C: And also with you!
