Every Sunday we gather together as God's children to worship Him through the means of liturgy, music, preaching, and the Lord's supper. Below is a run-down of our gathering from this past Sunday:
-Opening Song: "Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery" by Matt Pappa
CALL TO WORSHIP
Hear the call to worship from Psalm 111 ...
Praise the Lord!
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart,
In the company of the upright, in the congregation.
Great are the works of the Lord,
Studied by all who delight in them.
Full of splendor and majesty is his work,
And his righteousness endures forever.
He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered;
The Lord is gracious and merciful.
He provides food for those who fear him;
He remembers his covenant forever.
He has shown his people the power of his works,
In giving them the inheritance of the nations.
The works of his hands are faithful and just;
All his precepts are trustworthy;
They are established forever and ever,
To be performed with faithfulness and uprightness.
He sent redemption to his people;
He has commanded his covenant forever.
Holy and awesome is his name!
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
All those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever!

CONFESSION OF SIN
Let us confess our sins to the Father together…
God our Father,
we confess that we fail to live
in light of the coming,
both past and future,
of your Son Jesus Christ.
He came to redeem those under the law,
but we live as those still under it.
You sent the Holy Spirit into our hearts,
but we choose instead to live as slaves to our flesh.
You purchased our freedom and adopted us as your sons and daughters,
but we fail to live out of our identity as Your children.
Forgive our fear and unbelief.
Help us to live as Your sons and daughters,
heirs to Your Fatherly blessings,
because of what Jesus has done for us. Amen
ABSOLUTION
Hear the good news from 2 Corinthians 5...He
Hear the good news of the gospel:
If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
The old has passed away;
Behold, the new has come.
For our sake, God made him to be sin
Who know no sin,
So that in him we might become
The righteousness of God.
I declare to you, in the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.
Now live out of the new identity you have received in Christ.

LITURGICAL PRAYER
Please Stand and let us pray to our Father together...
O Lord,
who for our sake fasted forty days and forty nights,
give us grace to use such abstinence that,
our flesh, being subdued by the Spirit,
may ever obey Your Godly motions
in righteousness and true holiness,
to Your honor and glory,
who lives and reigns with the Father and Holy Spirit,
now and ever. Amen.
- Song of Response
BENEDICTION
As we leave here today…
May the grace of Christ, which daily renews us, and the love of God, which enables us to love all, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, which unites us in one body, make us eager to obey the will of God until we meet again, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
[based on 2 Corinthians 13:13]
L: Peace be with you! C: And also with you!
