Welcome back to Sacred City’s Liturgy Recap. Here you will find a complete rundown of all that happened as we gathered this past Sunday!

- Opening Song:

- Call To Worship:

Hear the call to worship from Psalm 115...

Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness! Why should the nations say, "Where is their God?" Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have mouths, but do not speaks; eyes, but do not see. They have ears but do not hear; Noses, but do not smell. They have hands, but do not feel; feet, but do not walk; and the do not make a sound in their throat. Those who make them become like them; so do all who trust in them. The heavens are the Lord's heavens, but the earth he has given to the children of man. The dead do not praise the Lord, nor do any who go down into silence. But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and forevermore. Praise the Lord!

- Song:

- Confession of Sin:

Let us confess our sins to the Father together...

Merciful God, you made us in your image with a mind to know you, a heart to love you, and a will to serve you, but we fail to live out our true identity. Instead, we hide our weakness so others think more highly of us. We look for success in the things we do. And we try to give our own lives value of any kind. in your tender love, forgive us, and draw us more fully into the true identity we have as your children. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

- Absolution:

Hear the good news!

This saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. He himself bore our sins in his body of the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.

I declare to you in the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!

 - Song:

- Profession of Faith:

Let us profess our faith together...

We profess and affirm that God our Creator has all life, glory, and goodness in and of himself. Because God delights in what is good, he delights in himself, and the eternal beauty of his own perfections. He alone is the source of all true joy and delight. And so we profess that the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.

- Song:

- Reading of Scripture: 1 Corinthians 16:5-24

- Sermon: "Act Like Men" by Pastor Justin Dean

Pastor Justin preparing us for the "Little Church" Conference

Communion/Benediction:

As we leave here today...

As god's own, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, and patience, forgiving one another as the Lord has forgiven you, and crown all these things with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Peace be with you!
