Mark 4:35-41 will be our text for this week. In it we see Jesus and His disciples go on boat ride that would lead them straight into the eye of a fierce storm. Waves were filling the boat, the disciples were in turmoil, but where is Jesus? Asleep, on a cushion, as calm as can be. The disciples question wether Jesus cares for them or not, and Jesus awakes and rebukes the storm, causing it to be still. Jesus questions the disciples about their faith, and leaves them questioning among themselves who this Jesus really is, that the seas and wind obey him.

As you reflect on this passage:

- What would say the opposite of faith is?

- How is our faith grown?

- Do you, like the disciples, question Jesus care for you in the midst of struggle?

- How does the person and work of Christ calm our anxious fears?
