We are continuing through our series in Advent called "Songs for the Savior", where we take an old Advent hymn text, search it's scriptural significance, and show how it points us to Christ! This week we will be looking at the song "What Child is This?". This musically dark tune has been a staple through history, being sung both in an outside of the church for centuries. The song is somewhat of a call and response, posing to the listener the question of "what child is this who lays in the manger?", to which the chorus replies "This is Christ the KING!". We will learn of how Chris traded his riches for our poverty that we might become rich in Him, and how he was made low to raise us up.

Songs we will be singing this week...
