This is going to be an exciting Sunday in the history of our church! We have the privilege of installing our 2 new Elders, Casey Shutt and Tom Lyons, into leadership at Sacred City. This officially moves us from being a "Church plant" to a full on "Church" in the Biblical sense. God has been good to us and good to these men during their training over the last year or so. There is much to celebrate this Sunday because of God's grace and goodness to our body!
We will be studying Mark 1:29-45 this week, and focusing in on some of Christ's first miracles as he heals a sick old woman and a man with leprosy. Jesus fame is spreading and yet we see Him retreating to pray to the Father for guidance. Why did Jesus seem to want to keep these miracles under wraps? How are we like the man with leprosy? Do we go to the Father when life's demands are pressing, or do we turn to our own way? What does this passage say about what the Kingdom of God is like? All these are great question to ask yourself as you study the text this week.
Songs we will be singing this week...
