In SC Kids this week we continued learning from the book of Jonah. This week we focused in on Jonah praying to God in belly of the fish. Even when it seemed like no one could hear him God could hear his prayer and God saved Jonah from the belly of the fish. Jonah was spit back onto shore and God told him to go to Nineveh. This time Jonah was glad to go, he no longer had a hard heart towards the Ninevites and he wanted to tell them about God's love because Jonah had experienced it first hand.

We focused on two things:

1. God changes our hearts.

2. Prayer connects us to God.

As one of our activities we introduced the kids to the Lord's Prayer as well as teaching them how to pray for others. It would be great for you parents to talk with your kids about prayer this week. Model for your kids what it looks like to pray, teach them the Lord's Prayer, and teach them how to pray for others.
